LANSING—Sen. Dale Zorn, R-Ida, was sworn in as senator of the 17th District on Wednesday during a ceremony at the state Capitol. Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Robert P. Young, Jr. administered the oath of office. Zorn was joined on the Senate floor by his wife, Cindy; son, Jason; daughter-in-law, Ashley; and friends Bruce and Kim Diven.
“It is an honor to serve the hard-working people of Monroe and Lenawee counties in the Michigan Senate,” Zorn said. “My commitment to the constituents of the 17th Senate District is that I will continue to work hard every day to improve our state, grow our economy and create good Michigan jobs.”
Zorn also announced that his office is open and ready to assist constituents of the 17th District.
“I encourage anyone who needs help or wants to share their viewpoint on state issues to contact our office,” Zorn said. “My excellent staff and I are dedicated to providing the best service possible for our hard-working constituents.”
